It's very interesting that Debra Lafave will not serve time for child sex abuse. Imagine if a handsome young male teacher seduced a young girl in middle school, was arrested and his lawyer argued against prison time by saying, "To place an attractive young man in that kind of hell hole is like placing a piece of raw meat in with the lions, I don't think my client could survive it. If Lafave was unattractive I'm betting she'd be on her way to prison at this moment. I guess the only thing that matters for a woman in America is to be young and beautiful. John Fitzgibbons, Debra Lafave's attorney, has said his client is "too pretty" to serve prison time - a novelty of a defense so ridiculous I pray that it is never uttered by a member of the bar in any open court.
Debra Lafave, the now year-old newlywed teacher who was arrested June 21, for having sex with a year-old student, has filed a motion to block photo's of her genitalia from being released. During the investigation police received a warrant and took photo's of Lafaves genitalia to corroborate the story of the year-old. These photos are of public record and therefore can be released to anyone who requests them. Lafave is scheduled to go on trial in December. St Petersburg Times On Tuesday, Lafave's attorney filed a motion to block public access to six photos taken of her last year, saying officers violated Lafave's constitutional right to privacy when they shot close-ups of her genitals. Hillsborough Circuit Judge Wayne S. Timmerman is scheduled to hear the motion next week. Then he told them about Lafave's "V" shaped tan line along her waist and that she had shaved her pubic area in a "unique" pattern. A nurse draped a sheet over Lafave and a female jailhouse deputy snapped four pictures of her hips, legs and back.
